Author Monika M. Buchmann comes from a country where integrity is inherent. She was supposed to be born a boy but came as my parents’ second girl on Shrove Monday, February 16, 1953, in Düsseldorf/Heerdt, Germany to this world. In Germany, honesty is woven into every sentence, and products are a source of pride for dedicated craftsmanship. Despite a challenging childhood, Buchmann emerged resilient, shaped by a strong mother and the determination to forge her own path. Settling in Canada 48 years ago in 1975, she never regretted the decision. Married in 1975, with three children, her family is the highlight of her life. Building her family became the best decision of her life, and overcoming challenges united her. Buchmann’s narrative is one of personal growth, resilience, and the pursuit of a brighter future, echoing the belief that no one should suffer for their birth circumstances.
